1954 Roster Book Puzzles

This year was a transitional one for Atelier 17. Beginning the year co-located at the Imprimerie Chassepot (278, rue de Vaugirard), the workshop moved by autumn to the Imprimerie Haasen (23 rue Vandrezanne).

Among other treasures, the pages show Krishna Reddy’s first inscription at the end of 1954, though it is possible he was present earlier. Reddy’s first wife Shirley Witebsky appears the year prior along with Kaiko Moti—all of whom had been students of Ossip Zadkine.
